We’re looking for a professional, confident and personable Premium Finance Manager to join our Commercial & Marketing team in Haywards Heath, West Sussex.

The successful candidate will need to deliver our Premium Finance strategy and income in line with agreed budgeted targets.

You’ll also provide oversight and governance to ensure the Premium Finance proposition delivers value for our customers whilst meeting regulatory requirements.

Our ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and excellent knowledge of Premium Finance principles and regulations whilst having the confidence to influence senior stakeholders and external suppliers.
 
 
Job responsibilities
  • Support creation and lead execution of the Premium Finance strategy
  • Support budget setting and lead the delivery of Premium Finance income, default fee income and the recovery of debt; including the ownership of both process and performance
  • Provide ongoing commercial and customer oversight of Premium Finance
  • Responsible for implementing governance in line with regulatory requirements, including new proposition design, the review of existing propositions and delivery of changes to improve the value for our customers
  • Ensure that all elements of product design, communication and processes, including digital journeys in relation to Premium Finance, comply with CONC and other relevant regulatory requirements
  • Compliance with CONC’s provisions on the collection of overdue amounts from consumer credit customers
  • Support the setting and justification of the default fees and lead the oversight of the fee collection processes
  • Put in place appropriate engagement with cross-functional teams to support the delivery of group-wide business objectives
  • Effective contract management, working closely with internal stakeholders where necessary to ensure contracts are up to date and relevant
 
Skills, knowledge & experience
  • Experience of working within a highly regulated environment
  • Extensive experience in premium lending in the context of general insurance
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements surrounding Premium Finance
  • Strong stakeholder management experience within a fast paced, matrixed environment
  • Ability to take quick, confident decisions at a strategic level to move things forward
  • Structured thinking to find solutions to complex problems and the ability to adopt a pragmatic way forward
  • Ability to communicate complex information to key stakeholders in an easily digestible format
  • Confidence in prioritising and balancing competing work streams
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Good time management with an organised and proactive approach
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively and within deadline
  • Ability to work on own initiative and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
