We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Leadership Trainer to join our fun and friendly Learning & Development (L&D) team in Haywards Heath, West Sussex.

As the Leadership Trainer, you’ll need to support the Leadership Development Manager with the design and delivery of a first-class learning experience for leaders.  You’ll introduce a wide range of blended learning interventions to enhance and embed the organisational leadership capability and effectiveness to support the learning and people development culture.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to:
  • Have proven experience of L&D Leadership
  • Have experience of coaching all levels of leaders
  • Have produced bespoke training programmes to meet business needs

Job responsibilities
  • Consult with stakeholders to understand the leadership, professional and soft skill development needs in their business areas, working closely with them to design and deliver solutions
  • Build close one to one relationship to drive and deliver developmental coaching interventions using a range of tools
  • Provide consultative expertise on key people projects for leadership, soft skills and cultural development to help shape and align to First Central values and behaviours
  • Design, deliver and manage our Leadership Programmes, regularly reviewing content whilst ensuring a blended approach to learning, in line with business objectives and performance
  • Develop and test new digital way of working through eBooks, podcasts, eLearning and appropriate industry trends to support development of leaders in line with the blended approach to learning
  • Design and deliver bespoke, innovative learning solutions which focus on raising the capability of all levels of leadership population to improve capability and overall performance
  • Support the ongoing development of new colleagues into the business
  • Amend and revise programmes as necessary to adapt to changes occurring in the work environment
  • Work closely with key internal stakeholders and external contacts to build and maintain relationships to ensure deliverables are achieved and maintained
  • Set up and manage Action Learning sets, coaching, and mentoring programmes
  • Ensure quality of learning and training delivery through providing feedback to colleagues to ensure continuous improvement of self and others
  • Evaluate training and development through effective analysis and evaluation tools for benefits of reporting

Skills, knowledge & experience
  • Leadership theory and application
  • Relevant leadership coaching certification is desirable
  • Other psychometric tools such as HOGANS, Strengthscope, NPS desirable
  • Experience of managing multiple high-level projects to deadline
  • Confident, articulate and clear communication skills with all level of employees and stakeholders
  • Project Management experience across of a range of learning and development projects, size and type
  • Facilitation & coaching skills at all levels
  • Proven track record in design, delivery and evaluation of leadership & management development initiatives across all functions
  • Comfortable working at a leadership level with excellent interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Proven experience to facilitate team sessions for the business using recognised models such as Myers Briggs and psychometrics to better build teams
  • Experience of understanding learning needs, translating into successful solutions and evaluation
  • Expert knowledge of blended learning interventions
  • Strong knowledge of risk and FCA regulatory requirements
