We’re on the lookout for an IT Governance Manager to join our Corporate Governance team in Haywards Heath, West Sussex or Salford Quays, Manchester.
 
You’ll be responsible for the implementation of a proportionate, risk-based IT Governance framework across the group in order to successfully reduce risks in the business.
 
Raising awareness across the group on best practice and its developments, you’ll work with management to ensure we’re protected and fully compliant with company, standards and regulations at all times.
 
Responsibilities 
  • Develop, construct and implement an IT Governance framework, working across the group to improve overall maturity in respective disciplines
  • Act as a subject matter expert, utilising external specialists as required
  • In line with the business strategy, develop and maintain a strategic outlook across the group, including risk management approaches, frameworks and technologies
  • Collaborate within the organisation to ensure full legal compliance of company's privacy and data protection policies, procedures and notices
  • Advise and contribute to the design and implementation of appropriate first line IT policies, controls and frameworks
  • Perform risk assessments for projects, processes, software and infrastructure
  • Provide metrics and reporting
  • Responsibility for maintaining department risk registers, providing evidence and commentary for controls, updates for mitigation actions and escalation
 
Skills, knowledge & experience
  • Excellent hands-on IT knowledge
  • Strong and demonstrable experience of implementing IT Risk Management Frameworks
  • Experience and knowledge of data protection
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of IT Governance frameworks and standards
  • Specialist qualifications or training in IT Governance frameworks and standards
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic with the desire to meet or exceed targets
