Do you have a commercial mindset with excellent data and statistical analysis skills? If so, this could be the job for you! We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Retention Analyst to join our Commercial and Marketing team in Haywards Heath, West Sussex.

You’ll provide innovative and high-quality analysis along with business recommendations to drive initiatives and improve profitability. You’ll be responsible for monitoring and analysing trading performance and consumer behaviour in order to inform our retention strategy in a profitable manner.

Your work will be diverse and varied and we’re looking for someone who’ll be confident in collaborating with teams across the business, helping identify opportunities by piecing together our data to understand how we can optimise retention through pricing, process, product and customer journey changes.

In turn, we’ll support your development with a programme of training with internal partners. This is an ideal role for an ambitious graduate that’ll provide an excellent grounding in both analysis and the commercial trading business area, with multiple career routes available for onward progression.

You’ll train with our Retail Pricing team and Business Intelligence team to support your understanding of a range of tools to extract, analyse and present data and insight. You’ll also learn about the motor insurance market and the relevant standards and regulations, so you can support the forecasting process and solve key company questions. You’ll also learn about our e-commerce platform and digital analytics tools, including Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics, in order to help review the end-to-end customer journey.
 
Job responsibilities
 
  • Collaborate with the business to help identify opportunities to optimise customer retention
  • Monitor and analyse trading performance and consumer behaviours
  • Production of business analysis reports
  • Ad-hoc project work, providing analysis to the business
  • Write new analysis code
  • Build predictive models
  • Present findings and results in a clear and logical manner, producing written reports
  • Positive manner with ability to communicate well with all colleagues and stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with company and other relevant standards and regulations
  • Any other reasonable duties as required
 
Skills, knowledge & experience
 
  • Minimum 2:1 in a numerical undergraduate discipline
  • Strong experience in using Microsoft Office tools (in particular Excel)
  • Broad knowledge of statistical methods and techniques
  • Some experience of a programming language
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adopt a logical approach
  • Excellent data and statistical analysis skills
  • Commercially focused
  • Logical thinker with solid reasoning ability
