We’re looking for an Intelligence Coordinator to join our Claims and Fraud department in Haywards Heath, West Sussex on a 12-month fixed term contract opportunity. You'll undertake general administration duties for Counter Fraud Services department in a timely manner and responsible for the management of external data requests submitted under the Data Protection Act for the prevention and detection of crime.

Working flexibly, you'll spend 4 days at home and 1 day in the office - if you prefer to be in the office more that's good with us too.

What’s involved:

  • You'll log and triage incoming work for the SIU team (such as DPA requests and research reports)

  • You'll respond to Data Protection Act requests made under Schedule 2, Part 1, Paragraph 2 of the Data Protection Act 2018 for fraud prevention and detection purposes.

  • You'll produce written witness statements for criminal prosecutions, with attendance at court where required.

  • You'll manage the fraud intelligence repository, to include data input, quality, retention and disposal, referring to the Fraud Team Leader as necessary.

  • You'll load intelligence data to relevant industry fraud databases.

  • You'll assist with policy/claims reviews and basic analysis, identifying and referring suspect claims and policies to the relevant Counter Fraud Teams.

  • You'll monitor and record daily declines from fraud databases and escalation to the Intelligence Manager where appropriate.

  • You'll work basic IFB (Insurance Fraud Bureau) reports and providing feedback to the IFB as required.

  • You'll undertake desktop research and produce written research reports if required.

  • You'll maintain the SIU team’s policy and claim referral records, ensuring data is updated and accurate.

  • You'll respond and triage emails sent to the Intelligence team, directing them to the relevant Intelligence Analysts.

  • You'll conduct DVLA Keeper checks using the KADOE system on behalf of Claims and Fraud teams.

  • You'll provide support to the Intelligence Analysts and Fraud Team Leader.

  • You'll ensure compliance with company financial crime procedures and related policies.

  • You'll meet agreed fraud KPIs and targets.

  • You'll adhere to and consider all regulatory requirements at all times, including TCF, DPA and AML.

  • You'll be compliant with health and safety policies at all times.

  • You'll ensure compliance with Company and other relevant standards/regulations at all times.

Experience & knowledge:

  • Experience of working in an administrative role

  • Previous experience in the motor insurance industry an advantage

  • Experience of working in a fraud environment (Desirable)

  • Some knowledge of fraud intelligence handling practices

  • Basic understanding of all aspects of motor insurance

  • Knowledge of FCA requirements (including TCF) and the regulatory framework relating to general insurance.

Skills & qualifications:

  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail

  • Good numeracy and literacy skills.

  • Good Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel).

  • Good report writing skills.
