We’re looking for someone to join our Skyfire Insurance team as an Operations Lead in our Gibraltar office.
 
Your duties are to support the Skyfire Insurance MD in matters relating to the management, operations, governance and day-to-day running of the business to meet its objectives. You’ll assist the MD in project management, decision making, reporting and maintaining of key policies, procedures and manuals.

Job responsibilities
  • Support the MD in the management, operations and administration of the business including regulatory, investment and industry activities as required
  • Be responsible for project management, deliverable control, follow up of actions, decisions and summary/status reports for related activity
  • Assist with the oversight of Management Governance Framework, including control of the annual activity/task governance planner, projects schedule and Check & Balance activities
  • Support the MD in the co-ordination, delivery, drafting, reporting and oversight of operational, financial, risk management, compliance and regulatory activities/projects in coordination with service providers
  • Assist the MD with Gibraltar Mind & Management activities, including the 4 eyes principle
  • Support the MD in the drafting, review and maintenance of policies, procedures, manuals and processes
  • Assist the MD in maintaining the register of Key Issues/Activities and monitor progress against agreed actions and target dates
  • Provide general support to the MD as and when required, including the drafting of correspondence/reports/presentations, maintaining of registers, analysis of information/data, administration, meeting attendance etc
  • Collate and draft reports/presentations, working with all departments to coordinate inputs and assure overall quality and timeliness
  • Be responsible for office and corporate apartment management, including support of facilities, IT, administrative, crisis management, health and safety, fire, first-aid and business continuity activities as required
  • Ensure compliance with company and other relevant standards/regulations at all times, including RIR and TCF
  • Executive assistant and any other reasonable duties as required
 
Skills, knowledge & experience
 
Experience and knowledge
  • Experience of working in governance, executive support and administrative functions
  • Knowledge of corporate governance practices
  • Good understanding of Commercial and Business landscapes
  • Experience managing senior stakeholders at Management, Executive and Board level
  • Preferably prior exposure to the general insurance industry
  • Overview knowledge of other legislations (i.e. Companies Act, Health and Safety at Work Act)
  • Understanding of UK motor insurance industry
